The Alan Foster Trust

A charity created in the memory of a dear friend, to continue his legacy of being kind and compassionate to all, irrespective of their background.

This Trust was established by the Founder, Shamin Lyn after the sudden death of Alan Foster in 2020.

The purpose of the Trust is to support Refugees, that are left homeless after being awarded the Leave to Remain in the UK, by providing financial aid and hot meals, to help integrate them into our community.

Volunteer Driven

Everyone involved in Alan Foster Trust provides their time and skill on a voluntary basis – we do not employ staff.

Ramadan Hampers

Our Ramadan hampers are large baskets consistingof items donated by the local community to support families with children during the cost-of-living crisis

The hampers include canned food, dry packed food, play activities, reading books and hygiene products and provided for 20 families last year.

Food Parcels

Since 2020, Alan Foster Trust has been providing food parcels to families in need.

Each parcel includes canned food, pasta, milk, sugar, and personal hygiene items and is sufficient supply for two weeks.

The parcels are delivered to the families’ door step by volunteers.

This initiative began during the Covid 19 pandemic and has continued ever since.

White Appliances & Furniture

The Trust supports families with large electrical items such as cookers fridges and microwaves.

We also provide some large pieces of furniture such as beds and sofas, as well as other other household items needed by families that don’t have no money to buy furniture for their home.

We also provide support to families were when they are placed in temporary housing.

All this was donated free of charge by the public and businesses, through social media.

Clothes & Toys

The Trust receives donated items of clothing and toys from the Community on a monthly basis.

This is used to support families with or without children with clothes, shoes, winter coats and toys (where the family does have children).

We aim to keep beneficiaries warm, safe and welcomed and not to worry or stress about not having enough money to buy items for their whole family.
